Harbaria Eco Tourism Center is one of the tourist spots in Sundarbans. It is located about 20 km from Mangla. The main attraction here is the wooden trail through the forest. It is a joyous new experience for those who walk the trail for the first time. The wood here has to be changed almost every year. Damp because it gets wet with water. One has to walk through the middle of the trail. It only takes about 30/40 minutes to walk the entire trail through the forest. The natural beauty will be so mesmerizing that even 1 hour walk will seem very little. There is a lotus pond and watch tower for fresh water. Almost the entire Harbaria can be seen from the watch tower. Not more than 6 people can climb this tower made of wood. Arrangements are made for tourists to sit in between the lotus ponds. Harbaria is an ideal place for those who want to visit the Sundarbans for a day. Saltwater crocodiles are often seen here. But the best time to see crocodiles is from December to February. During this time, the crocodiles lie on the banks of the canal to bask in the sun. Sundaran Maya deer can also be seen in Harbaria. As it is open to tourists, deer can be seen up close. The deer here are not wild at all. Many deer are seen on the edge of the forest because they are constantly in the company of people. Harbaria tiger is not seen, but many people can see the tiger’s footprints. Chitra deer and other wild animals can also be seen here. Being a tidal zone, the soil here is damp, muddy, wet. That is why red crabs can be seen from very close. Also there are Sundari, Gewa, Garan, Pasur, Bain, Golpata etc. trees. There are many species of birds, insects and spiders. Harbaria Eco Tourism Center-T Tiger Sanctuary. So it is forbidden to go to the forest without a wooden trail. If anyone wants to go to the forest, they have to take an armed forest guard from the forest office. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the forest. No other garbage, packets of chips, biscuits, chocolates, plastic bottles etc. can be thrown. There are specific baskets to dispose of these.
